
Apple, Android, RIM and now Microsoft have all been making big announcements recently for the China handset market. Apparently at a Beijing conference Microsoft has announced 17 Windows 6.5, and My Phone service capable products that will be arriving on the market before the end of the year. LG, Samsung, and Dopod are the bigger brands being touted to do the hardware while another 60 software players will be the ones to provide the first 100 localized apps. Considering the recent Sidekick fiasco the My Phone service launch for China (synchronized back up of data to the cloud) needs to be handled with extreme care, or at least a few back up servers!
