It has been seven months since selected metropolitan cities in India witnessed the launch of the country’s first 3G services amidst much fanfare. ‘Jadoo’ – a hindi term which means ‘magic’, is the name of the 3G service offered by state owned telecom operator MTNL, for customers in New Delhi and Mumbai. Besides MTNL, BSNL is the other state owned telecom provider who is rolling out 3G services in the Tier-1 cities of India. Unfortunately, ‘Jadoo’ is yet to cast its ‘magic’ spell outside the big cities, to the rest of the nation’s increasingly tech-savvy customers. Read more
