
In October we covered the release of Taiwan telecom FarEasTone’s Commtiva Z1 smart phone, manufactured by Foxconn and featuring Google's Android 1.5 OS. Today Taiwan rival Chunghwa Telecom launched its own branded Android phone - the CHT 8000. Set to be available in mid-December, the initial price for the phone sans contract looks to be NT$13,900 (USD 431). Read more.
