Apple purportedly sold a mere 5000 iPhones through China Unicom their official carrier on their opening weekend and only 5 from authorized leading online portalTaobao after being available for a month! But no worries… they’ve actually managed to shift closer to 2 million units into the Chinese market (by some reasonably knowledgeable sources best estimates) through the grey market.
