GOOGLE CAUGHT IN ITS OWN WEB

China Unicom has decided to stop Google Search on Android handsets ... an act of retribution in the tug-of-war which may or may not affect the shanzhai who have been donning the Android hat for a long time. China Unicom’s decision to allow handset makers to decide which search service to use on phones that run Google’ operating system is a poor reproduction of Google’s own idea of ‘openness’.
