A company called Spring Design has filed a lawsuit against Barnes & Noble claiming their new “nook” eBook reader has copied patented features of their own “Alex” eBook reader that they had revealed under NDA to Barnes & Noble in the beginning of 2009. Apparently Spring Design began developing the Android based, dual screen Alex eBook reader back in 2006 and filed patents on the design then. Read more.
