If you are in India and own a shanzhai handset, you must have heard that the government of India had plans to forbid handsets with invalid IMEI numbers. The rule had to be implemented by 1st of November but I am not sure if the government has actually executed its plan. However, if you have found your shanzhai phone is dead, here is some good news for you. The state of Kerela will soon have a number of authorised centres where IMEI numbers can be incorporated into mobile handsets which do not have valid IMEI numbers. Read more.
