China Unicom has come out and officially announced today that it will launch the Uphone. The Uphone plan is amazingly similar to China Mobile’s Ophone offering. Uphones will be based on a forked version of the Google Android OS called UniPlus and also include their own dedicated Uphone application store. Read more.
