Windows Mobile market share drops by a third

Gartner has released their figures on the smartphone OS situation for 2009 as compared to 2008. Windows Mobile dropped a whopping 28% of its market share and Symbian dropped 5%. Both RIM and Apple climbed about another 4% and newcomer Android is just getting on the radar now with 3.9% of the market. With a slew of new phones running Android on the way for 2010, Android will be the one to watch. Read more.
