Market research company ChangeWave claims Google’s mobile operating system, Android, is beginning to make a splash in the smartphone market. Android barely made a ripple in the last survey they conducted three months ago – in fact it was tied for last place in consumer preference among the major mobile OSs – but since then it has surged ahead of all competitors apart from the iPhone’s OS X.
